5 authors I discovered in 2016!

Last year I shared the authors by whom I've read one of their books for the first time! I really enjoyed "discovering" authors so here is my list for 2016!!!

No. 5 Glen Craney

Glen Craney is a novelist, screenwriter, journalist, and lawyer. He has also won many awards. I read The Spider and the Stone by him and really enjoyed it! It is a historical fiction novel taking place in Scotland, so of course I loved it!

No. 4 Victoria Aveyard

Victoria Aveyard is a screenwriter/YA author who likes books and lists. I believe Red Queen was her first novel and I really liked it! I also read Glass Sword  last week just in time for the third book coming out next month! It a young adult dystopian - fantasy novel, where the world is divided between the Silvers and Reds.

No. 3 Rick Yancey

Rick is a native Floridian and a graduate of Roosevelt University in Chicago. He begun writing full-time in 2014. This year I read The 5th Wave and its sequel The Infinite Sea. The last book of the trilogy - The Last Star - was published this year but I haven't read that one yet! I am not good in finishing series!! They are young adult, sci-fi novels. The 5th Wave was amazing and it was also made into a movie I really enjoyed! I plan on reading The Last Last this year and watch the next movie too!

No. 2 Alexandra Bracken

Alexandra Bracken is a #1 New York Times bestselling and USA TODAY bestselling author. Her work is available across the world in over 15 languages. No, I haven't read The Darkest Minds trilogy, but I read this year Passenger and I really liked it! The combination of time-travelling, adventure and romance pulled me in! The second book of the duology, Wayfarer, is on its way right now as I have pre-ordered it long time ago!

No. 1 Marissa meyer

Marissa Meyer lives in Tacoma, Washington, with her husband and beautiful twin daughters. She is famous for the amazing book series The Lunar Chronicles and her stand alone novel Heartless which was published this year. I read Cinder and Scarlet and loved them both so much! They are young adult, fairy tale retellings in a dystopian world. I for sure plan to read all of her books, hopefully this year and I also hope to see a tv or movie adaptation!

See you soon!
xoxo Joan!
