A Court Of Frost And Starlight by Sarah J. Maas - book review!

I read this book back in May, when it came out and I don't believe I haven't talked about it yet! It was one of my most anticipated reads of 2018 and to be completely honest I was a bit disappointed that it was so short!!! Even though I new it was a novella! And another thing that really bothered me was that there will be another novella before the fourth book in this series, which is expected to be published in 2020!!!! 2020!!! Seriously??? After that bit of rant let's move on with this review!!! Make sure to have completed the previous three books in the series before moving on!

This novella is to bridge the first trilogy to the second trilogy (books 4-6) of "A Court Of Thorns And Roses" series by Sarah J. Maas.

It describes Feyre's first Winter Solstice as High Lady of the Night Court and we get to hang out with all the amazing characters and see how war has affected them and how they are dealing with it after the end events of book three.

I have read many reviews about this book that say that nothing actually happens and it does not add anything to the plot and they are maybe right.. However, after reading books by Sarah J. Maas  for many years I got the feeling that NOTHING happens with no reason!!!! LITERALLY NOTHING! This novela is supposed to bridge the two trilogies and we did see some new dynamics between the characters now that the war is over. I really enjoyed it, despite being that short and I am curious about the route that this series will go!

So, I rated this book with 5 stars! 😍😍😍😍😍

Some of my favorite quotes are:

"You were born on the longest night of the year." His fingers again stroked down my back. Lower. "You were meant to be at my side from the very beginning."

She smiled broadly. Bright as the full moon, lovelier than any star.

"To the blessed darkness from which we are born, and to which we return."

It was a nice and cute read, definitely fun, and made me so impatient for the fourth book in the series!

The fan-art of the ACOTAR series is to die for!!! I wish I was such talented myself!!!

More from Goodreads:

Hope warms the coldest night.

Feyre, Rhys, and their close-knit circle of friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly-changed world beyond. But Winter Solstice is finally near, and with it, a hard-earned reprieve.

Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, she finds that those dearest to her have more wounds than she anticipated--scars that will have far-reaching impact on the future of their Court.
